Home Screen
When you log into AWARDS, the first page you will see is the Home screen.

The Home screen includes a Top Navigation Bar, a Left-Side Fixed Global Navigation Menu, and an Announcements Center section.
When you are working on the Home screen, the modules and features you see are determined by your permissions. As a result, your Home screen may look different from what other user's see.

Top Navigation Bar

On the top navigation bar, you'll find the following features:

The left-side menu is a fixed sidebar that you will see no matter what screen you are on. This is how you navigate to the various places within AWARDS. Options include:

Announcements Center
The AWARDS Home screen Announcements feature lets you post agency announcements (if you have the right permissions.) Once posted, users can view those agency announcements as well as any announcements or resources posted by Foothold Technology.

Pinned Favorites
The AWARDS Pinned Favorites feature is a convenient way to access your most-used modules and forms. Select the star icon next to your most-used (or "favorite") modules or forms and those will be added as shortcuts to your Favorites menu.

Pinned Favorites FAQs
Q. Why are some modules missing a star icon?
A. Only modules that do not have a sub-menu of child modules are currently available for favorites.
Q. Can I reorder my favorites?
A. No, not at this time; however, we are exploring ways to allow this.
Q. Can I pin favorite modules or forms for other users?
A. No, you can only pin favorites for yourself.
Q. Why am I not able to favorite all forms?
A. Currently only forms in the following locations are available for pinning:
- Census > Discharge > Forms
- Charts > Medical > Forms
- Charts > Services - Individual > Forms
- Charts > Employment > Jobs > Forms
Q. If my permissions change and I no longer have access to an item I pinned, do I have to manually unpin it?
A. No, if your permission/access changes, it will automatically be removed from your pinned favorites.
Q. Are pinned favorites captured in the Audit Trail?
No, the Audit Trail does not capture pinning/un-pinning favorites.
