As the billing landscape continues to evolve, the billing capabilities for AWARDS customers need to as well. Radicle Health's solution is AccuBill.
AccuBill is currently being built from the ground up, driven by extensive user research and internal stakeholder knowledge. AccuBill is designed to address the various pain points experienced today when using the BillingBuilder feature in AWARDS. With AccuBill, you can expect the following:
- Simplified initial & ongoing configuration management
- Smarter processing engine offering automation to reduce user tasks
- Single-source, informative messaging around services not billed, and why
Permissions Needed
To access AccuBill from AWARDS, you’ll need to have the AccuBill permission assigned to you. Once in AccuBill , permissions are role-based. Meaning, roles are created, and specific permissions are attached to the roles. Users are assigned to various roles to give them access to AccuBill features.
Key Features of AccuBill

Note: As new features are released, this list will grow!
The Permissions feature allows you to manage a user's roles and permissions.
The Payers feature is where you'll set up payers such as Medicaid, Medicare, private insurances, self-paying clients, or any other entity from which your programs receive payments for services provided.
The Procedures feature is where you will maintain the list of procedures that can be billed to payers. Procedures can also be known as a listing of service codes, with billing/claim requirements and rates defined.
The Pre-Charge Check feature allows you to see which billing events (services) are billable/not billable, and why.
Creating Charges
The Creating Charges feature allows you to generate charges (invoices) based on billable billing events, using a variety of filters.
Options for Implementing AccuBill
Rather than waiting for the whole AccuBill system to be completed, we are allowing customers to utilize features as they become ready for use. This means that for a while, you will still need the BillingBuilder for any features not yet available in AccuBill. Alternatively, you can wait until AccuBill is completed before moving entirely over from the BillingBuilder. In the end, AccuBill will replace BillingBuilder.
What’s Available Now? And What is the Development Timeline?

Note: In this initial release, AccuBill will NOT be able to support hard coded billing models in NYS such as; ACT, CR, and PROS. Additionally, authorization requirements and COB billing are not supported in this initial release.
