Service Facility Locations

The Service Facility feature shows a list of service facility locations that can be reported in claim files to payers. Service facility locations can also be known as physical sites where services are provided to consumers.


Permissions Needed

Configuration Mgmt. > Service Facility Locations > CREATE or UPDATE or DELETE


Creating a New Service Facility Location

To begin creating a new Service Facility Location, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the green Create button.
  2. Within the modal, fill out the following sections:
    1. General Info
      1. Name - Required
      2. Description - Optional
    2. Facility Claim Name & Address
      1. Provider Claim Name - Required
        1. 837 Usage: NM1*77-03
      2. Street or PO Box - Required
        1. 837 Usage: N3-01
      3. City - Required
        1. 837 Usage: N4-01
      4. State - Required
        1. 837 Usage: N4-02
      5. Zip Code (full 9 digits) - Required
        1. 837 Usage: N4-03
    3. NPI & Secondary IDs
      1. NPI - Required
        1. 837 Usage: NM1*77-09
      2. Secondary IDs - Situational
        1. Indicates if the service facility location needs to report a secondary ID. Note: By default a secondary ID is not required.
          1. Payers - Select the payer to associate with the identifiers below
          2. ID Qualifier - 837 Usage: REF-01
          3. ID - 837 Usage: REF-02
          4. + Add Item - click this is you need to add secondary IDs for different payers
    4. Programs
      1. Programs - Required for billing, but not to save the service facility location record
        1. Select the program(s) to associate with the service facility location record
          1. Once the programs are selected, you can choose to leave all note locations selected or deselect certain ones

 

Service Facility Locations Table

Within the Service Facility Locations table, you’ll see the following columns:

  • Name - Name for the service facility location record
  • Description - Description for the service facility location record
  • Programs - Programs assigned to the service facility location record
  • Last Modified - The date and time the service facility location record last updated
  • ID - ID number assigned to the service facility location record by AccuBill
  • Actions
    • View Record - Click to view and edit the service facility location record
    • Change History - Lists all updates made to the service facility location record
    • Delete Record - Click to delete the service facility location record

 

Bulk Actions

By selecting at least one billing provider record checkbox, a footer will appear with the following:

  • Cancel - Deselects records and hides footer
  • Export - Exports selected records from AccuBill
  • Compare - Compares multiple records side-by-side
    • Note: At least 2 records must be selected to activate this button
  • Delete - Deletes the selected records
