What's New in AWARDS - June 2024
Enhancements to the New Client Chart Navigation Feature
We've made some enhancements to the recently released Client Chart Navigation feature in AWARDS. Many of these enhancements are the result of customer feedback. We always appreciate it when you let us know how AWARDS is working for you, or what you think could be improved. We've made the following changes to the Client Chart Navigation feature:
- We changed the Go To menu from a drop-down to a "drawer" that slides out, using the full vertical space of the page. This requires less scrolling.
- We moved the list of available Global Navigation Modules to a new Modules tab and arranged them in a single alphabetical column for easier readability.
- A Forms tab has also been added to the Go To menu! The form names are arranged alphabetically. Note: Only forms located under the Discharge, Employment > Jobs, Medical, and Services-Individual menus are available.
- A "location" tag has been added to each module and form name in the menu, indicating where the item can be found. For example: Services-Individual, Medical, Jobs, etc.
- Filtered Search in the Go To menu! As you begin typing in the Search field, a new All Results tab will automatically appear and display options that meet your search criteria. Some things to note:
- The All Results tab shows search results for both modules and forms.
- You have the option of clicking into the Modules tab or Forms tab to see only those related results.
- Each tab heading lists a number in parentheses indicating the number of search results found.
- Clearing the search filter removes the All Results tab.
- The informational text previously displayed in the Go To menu was moved under an Info icon next to the Selected Program name.
- Favorites have been added to the Go To menu! The Favorites that you have pinned in the Global Navigation menu will show in the Go To menu as well. Keep in mind: you will only see the Favorites that are part of a selected client's chart. This allows you to have quick access to your favorite/most frequently used areas of AWARDS that are relevant to the client and program selected.
New Permission for Managing Custom Address Lists
Are you looking to clean up the custom address lists in your Messages module? Perhaps you have some custom address lists that were created by staff members who are no longer with your agency? There's a new exception override permission available: Messages - Manage Custom Address List. This permission allows you to delete lists that you did not create or lists that were not shared with you. The permission will cause all custom address lists to display along with a Delete. The permission also allows you to edit these custom lists.
Required Demographic Fields Added to the Process Admission Form
We've heard a lot of feedback about how important/required demographic data is sometimes missing when users process a multi-step admission. This happens because users have been able to process a multi-step admission without being required to select Update Demographic Information" to complete additional required fields. Now, the required fields from the Update Demographic Information section have been added to the Process Admission form so they cannot be bypassed when processing an admission. You will notice that the Process Admission form is now longer with more required fields; however, you will no longer have admissions with missing required data!
