Welcome to the AWARDS Training page! Here you will find descriptions of all the training sessions available to you - both free and paid. These training sessions serve as great opportunities for you and your team to get started with AWARDS or to stay up-to-date on what's new. Be sure to check back often as we continue to develop training sessions we think you will find valuable.

90 Minutes to Win It! (Remote Only)

These 90-minute (remote only) sessions are designed for learning or being refreshed on specific features within AWARDS. These sessions are generally limited to two areas of content and can include topics such as a team review of how to complete treatment plans or where to begin when building a Form. System Administrators can use these sessions to get help with complex tasks, such as revamping permissions, cleaning up employee access records, or learning how to create a new program.

A 90 Minutes to Win It! agenda will include:

Training material covering your specific workflow(s)
Targeted training based on your specific AWARDS user role
A professionally produced recording of the training that you can share with those who didn't attend the session

Wonder what you could do with a 90 Minutes to Win It! session? Here are some ideas:

Content	Description
Plans and Reviews	Your team can learn how to complete and review your plans. This will include an explanation of the Effective Date, Due Date, and Done Date fields along with electronic signatures on plans.
Build Something	Using FormBuilder or PlanBuilder we can walk you through the initial steps to creating a form or a plan tailored to your program's needs.
Providers Directory and Referral Provider Agencies	Administrators can get assistance setting up individual providers and referral agencies properly so the information is accurate for your team’s use.
Business Rules	Program-specific documentation editing rules, global database access rules, or E-Signature configuration
Staff Management	Creating and resetting passwords and logins, entering and terminating employee records, organization chart, and supervisory tree
Service Documentation	Progress notes, group services module, daily checklist functions
New Module Training	Starting to use a new module like Medical or Employment? We can train your teams on these specific features to get them up and running quickly.
ReportBuilders	Bring your reports and we can help you build & save up to 3 custom reports based on your program(s) needs.
FormBuilder	We can help you edit forms already in use by adding field types, and questions and teaching you tips and tricks you can use on future forms.
Intake/Admission and Face Sheet Data Entry	The bones of most of your work can be addressed in this session - getting clients into your database, and completing important Face Sheet data.
Permissions	Review and edit the current setup for easier maintenance.

AWARDS Certification

AWARDS Certification is an intensive, multi-day program that produces AWARDS Superusers! Ideal for getting AWARDS Administrators, Implementation Team members, and your local Help Desk staff up and running with confidence. AWARDS Certification includes training in all areas of AWARDS, with specialized tracks for advanced skills in Billing, Reporting, and other targeted areas. Click here to learn more!

Custom Training Sessions

Custom training sessions are developed in conjunction with your Customer Experience person and focus on training your staff in the processes unique to your agency’s workflows. The training agenda will include things such as:

Guidance tailored to your specific program configuration, workflows, and forms
An interactive mixture of demonstration and hands-on practice
When conducted remotely, a professionally produced recording of the training that you can share with those who didn't attend, or to use for training new users.

These custom training sessions teach new users exactly how they are expected to use AWARDS and offer a space for veteran users to feel refreshed in what they’ve learned previously. Additionally, since AWARDS is updated regularly, these sessions can help everyone stay up to date with the latest enhancements and information. The sessions are designed to include time for questions and discussion, and they serve as great opportunities to take note of any adjustments you may like to make in your database.

Cost for Custom Training Sessions:

$1,300/Full Day (7 hours) In-Person* or Remote
$750/Half Day (3.5 hours) Remote Only
$300/90 Minutes (Remote Only)

* When Foothold staff travel to customer sites outside of New York City, it is our policy to get customer approval to reimburse travel expenses before scheduling the trip.

Custom Training Videos

Would you like to create a training film highlighting some of your important AWARDS workflows to use as you train new staff members? We would love to help you! You’ll work with your Foothold Implementation Consultant or Senior Success Manager to develop an agenda covering the material you’d like recorded. The video will review the unique way(s) your program(s) use AWARDS and will provide step-by-step instructions to guide users through the processes. The finished product is a custom training video you can use for onboarding new staff members, or for existing staff members to refresh their memory.

Cost for Custom Training Videos:

Cost begins at $500/video but may increase based on the length and/or depth of the recording.

Pricing is for five (5) hours of work, including recording, editing, and revising.

Master Training

Master Training sessions are offered periodically on topics we feel will benefit many agencies at once. These are group training sessions that take a deep-dive into specific AWARDS functionality. Past sessions have included how to clean up your data; end of year billing roundup; using all of AWARDS Builder tools; and advanced level FormBuilder functionality.

Master Training session agendas will include:

A comprehensive look at a singular feature of AWARDS from beginning to end
Access to subject matter experts within Foothold to ask questions and get real-time answers to questions about features being presented
The opportunity to learn about innovative ways other AWARDS users are using the feature

Cost for Master Training Sessions:

$150/session

Train the Trainer

Train The Trainer sessions are an effective strategy to equip current users with the knowledge and confidence to teach AWARDS to their colleagues. We believe that the most effective way of keeping your teams trained and functioning well is to empower key individuals to build their skills and to teach them how to share their expertise. This proves incredibly helpful for situations of staff turnover when new users need to get up and running quickly.

Guided by our seasoned professional trainers, Train the Trainer participants will review core AWARDS functionality, identify processes and workflows that are specific to your organization, and will have an opportunity to practice teaching learned content while receiving feedback in real time.

We recommend that Train the Trainer participants be tasked with providing their own training sessions within 60 days of attending the Train the Trainer sessions in order to keep their knowledge fresh. These sessions can also include staff members who might not be tasked with training others but still need to learn the content.

Agendas will be divided between content to be learned and training skills acquisition.

Agendas will include:

Information tailored to your specific program configuration, workflows, and forms
Instructions on how to teach other users to use AWARDS
An interactive mixture of demonstration and practice, with attendees delivering their own mini-training and receiving feedback and guidance from the Foothold Trainer
When conducted remotely, a professionally produced recording of the training that you can share with those who didn't attend
A workflow document template you can use to create custom job aides for users
A separate technical assistance session to help you build workflow documentation

Cost for Train the Trainer Sessions:

$1,800/Full Day (7 hours) In-Person* or Remote

All AWARDS add-ons include startup training. After startup training is completed, additional training is available at any time! These integrated tools include:
