Bookmarking AWARDS in Your Browser

Because AWARDS is a browser-based application, bookmarking your AWARDS database, or creating a desktop shortcut, is a convenient way to stay only a click away from logging in! Follow the instructions below to add or update AWARDS as a bookmark in your preferred browser or a desktop shortcut.

Google Chrome

Adding AWARDS as a Bookmark
  1. Open a session in Google Chrome and navigate to the page you'd like to bookmark - in this case, navigate to your AWARDS database login page. 
  2. Next, do one of the following:
    1. On the top-right of the page, click the 3 vertical dots, then click Bookmarks and Lists > Bookmark this tab. 
    2. Press Ctrl+D.
    3. In the browser bar, on the far right, select the star. 
  3. Whichever option you performed above, you will receive a confirmation that the bookmark has been added. You can now access AWARDS by clicking the icon on your bookmarks bar! 

Tip! The AWARDS Resource Center is another great site to bookmark! 


Updating the URL of Your AWARDS Bookmark
  1. Open a session in Google Chrome.
  2. On your Bookmarks bar, right-click on your AWARDS database bookmark.
  3. The URL field will open for edits. Update the URL as needed. Click Save.


Microsoft Edge

Adding AWARDS as a Favorite
  1. Open a session in Microsoft Edge and navigate to the page you'd like to favorite - in this case, navigate to your AWARDS database login page.
  2. Next, do one of the following:
    1. On the top-right of the page, select the 3 horizontal dots, then click Favorites. The Favorites window will open. Select the icon. 
    2. Press Ctrl+D. 
    3. In the browser bar, on the far right, select the star. 
  3. Whichever option you performed above, you will receive a confirmation that the favorite has been added. You can now access AWARDS by clicking the icon on your Favorites bar!

  1. Open a session in Microsoft Edge. 
  2. On your Favorites bar, right-click on your AWARDS database favorite.
  3. The URL field will open for edits.

 


  1. Update the URL in the URL field. Click Save. 


Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open a session in Mozilla Firefox and navigate to the page you'd like to bookmark - in this case, navigate to your AWARDS database login page. 
  2. Next, do one of the following:
    1. On the top-right of the page, click the 3 horizontal lines, then click Bookmarks. 
    2. Press Ctrl+D.
    3. In the browser bar, on the far right, select the star.

  2. On your Bookmarks bar, right-click on your AWARDS database bookmark.
  3. The URL field will open for edits. Update the URL as needed. Click Save.


Apple Safari

Adding AWARDS as a Bookmark
  1. Open a session in Safari and navigate to the page you'd like to bookmark - in this case, navigate to your AWARDS database login page. 
  2. Next, do one of the following:
    1. Click the Share button in the top-right corner of the window, then select Add Bookmark. 
    2. Press Command+D.
  3. By default, new bookmarks are saved to your Favorites folder. If you'd like to save them somewhere else, click the Folder drop-down menu and select the desired folder.

Updating the URL of Your AWARDS Bookmark
  1. Open a session in Safari. 
  2. Select the sidebar button in the toolbar and select Bookmarks. 
  3. Find the Bookmark you'd like to update - in this case - find your AWARDS database bookmark. Control-click on the bookmark to open the shortcut menu.
  4. Update the URL in the URL field. Click Save. 

 

Creating a Desktop Shortcut for AWARDS

To create a desktop shortcut for AWARDS in either Windows 11 or iOS, follow the steps below.

Windows 11

Adding AWARDS as a Desktop Shortcut
  1. Right-click anywhere on your desktop. Select New > Shortcut.

  1. Add the URL for your AWARDS database. Click Next.

  1. Add AWARDS as the name for your shortcut. Click Finish.

Updating the URL of your AWARDS Desktop Shortcut
  1. Right-click on your existing AWARDS desktop shortcut. Select Properties.
  1. In the URL field, edit your AWARDS database URL. Click Ok.

iOS

Adding AWARDS as a Desktop Shortcut
  1. In the Shortcuts app on your iOS device, click the 3 horizontal dots on a shortcut, then select the downward arrow to open Details. 
  2. Click Add to Home Screen.
Updating the URL of your AWARD Desktop Shortcut
  1. Select your existing AWARDS database shortcut. Command-click, then select Get Info.


  1. Expand the section titled Name & Extension.


  1. Edit/update the URL for your AWARDS database. Then click anywhere outside of the text area to save your changes.
