Login Maintenance

AWARDS user logins are comprised of two components - Login ID/Password and User Group.

  • Login ID and Password - Each staff member is given a login ID and password.  These two pieces of information are entered by the staff member to access the AWARDS application.  Logins can also be assigned to consumers for limited access to AWARDS.
  • User Group - Each staff member is assigned to a user group.  This user group assignment can work in combination with the user's permissions to determine which modules and features are available to him or her throughout the system.

The System Setup module Login Maintenance feature is used to work with these login components; specifically, to create user logins, update user group assignments, change user passwords, and more, using the following features:

Block Login Access

Immediately remove a user's AWARDS access without terminating their login entirely.  Once blocked, a user can only access the system again if another user with the proper authority resets their password.

Create New Login

The login creation process establishes the building blocks of a user's access to AWARDS - a login ID, password, and user group assignment - and can be used for both employee and consumer logins.

Password Reset

Most users will change their passwords using the Password & Security feature.  Password Reset is a more comprehensive tool designed for administrators and supervisors who can change not only their own password, but those of other users.

Restricted Census Access

An optional component of AWARDS, Restricted Census Access can be used in conjunction with the "Restricted Census Access" permission to restrict users to accessing only those charts for specifically designated clients.

Update User Group

Used to update user group assignments for AWARDS users.  These assignments can be configured to work in combination with the user's permissions to determine which modules and features are available to them throughout the system.
