The Rent Balances component of the Rent & Utilities feature enables users to view reports of outstanding rent balances for a selected program or address.
Required Permissions
Because the Rent & Utilities functionality is optional, it is not automatically available in all databases. To request that it be made available in your database, please contact your Foothold Customer Success & Advocacy team representative for guidance on whether or not this functionality is right for your agency.
In databases in which the Rent & Utilities feature is turned on, it is available to all AWARDS users with employee logins (with the exception of those whose access is limited by the "Restrict to Aggregate Data View" permission).

Viewing a Rent Balances Report - Learn to view a report of all of a program's outstanding rent balances.
To view a read-only report of outstanding rent balances for a selected program or address, complete the following steps from the AWARDS Home screen:
- Click Administration from the left-hand menu, and then click Operations. The Operations fly-out menu is displayed.
- Click Rent & Utilities. The Rent & Utilities menu page is displayed.
- Click the Residence Street Addresses drop-down arrow and select the residential program for which the rent balances are to be viewed, or select "All Addresses."
TIP: Individual address selections are not applicable here. If a specific address is selected the balances will be shown for all addresses instead.
- Click Rent Balances. The Rent & Utilities outstanding rent balances page is displayed.
This page contains a table of all pending and sublease rent transactions for the selected program or address. Click an underlined column heading to sort the table contents by that value.
TIP: To update a pending rent transaction, complete the steps outlined under Adding / Updating Rent & Utility Transactions.
